Adopted to Sonship

When we believe in Jesus, we are born again as a new creation and become a child of God. But in addition to being a child of God, scripture tells us we also receive “adoption to sonship” (Romans 8:14-17). What is the significance of being adopted into sonship, what does it mean, and how does it differ from simply being a child of God? This is a “shallow,” yet in-depth study on what adoption to sonship actually means and the significance it plays for us in our lives if we choose to walk by faith in it.
